Abstract
Although there are some excellent local investigations, the Swiss Ranunculus auricomus complex is not completely known. Four new species of the complex are described and depicted. The known area of R. fragifer and R. moorii is restricted to the surroundings of Geneva, that of R. obtusidentatus to the Swiss Jura. R. hirsutulus has its type locality at the Kanton Schaffhausen, it also has been found in Eastern France and Southern Germany.
