Das Herbar im Museum.BL – wechselvolle Geschichte einer regional bedeutenden Sammlung

Abstract

This paper presents the herbarium of the Museum.BL (museum of the canton of Baselland in Liestal, Switzerland). Due to damages caused by flooding, the collection was reorganised and inventoried. The history and biographies of important collectors are outlined. The herbarium comprises more than 30 000 records, of which 70% are from Switzerland and 32% from the canton of Baselland. Most of them were collected between 1830 and 1960.
