Die Gattung Nigritella Rich.

Abstract

During the last 20 years, the development of our knowledge on the genus Nigritella increased in a great amount. Investigations performed by Teppner & Klein led to the conclusion that the most common plants from the alps differ significantly from those in Scandinavia. As a consequence the alpine plants have got a new name: Nigritella rhellicani. Until now, 14 species and 2 subspecies have a valid description and name. This report is a compilation of the actual knowledge about these different taxa of the genus Nigritella.
