Several new species and varieties were discovered and described, partly by the author and partly by specialists, in the genera Dendroceros, Symphyogyna, Riccardia, Herbertus, Lepidozia, Acromastigum, Nardia, Plagiochila, Radula, Frullania, Cheilolejeunea, Cololejeunea, Mastigolejeunea and Phaeolejeunea, and a number of new combinations or new names had to be created. The author expresses his warmest thanks to all his friends and colleagues who helped him during the process of identification.
