Das Geranio-Allietum in der oberelsässischen Rebflur

Abstract

Despite intensive weed-control efforts, the Geranio-Allietum of the vineyard lands in Upper Alsace is even today still of particular floristic richness. In this study vegetation relevés made between Cernay and Sélestat from the years 1981-1991 are presented. Spring and summer aspects of the Geranio-Allietum are very different (Tables 2,3,4). The classification and typing of the subunits of the Alsatian Geranio-Allietum were carried out on the basis of the relevés from the districts Gueberschwihr and Guebwiller obtained in 1991 (Table 5). Analysis of this table with the program TWINSPAN brought out the limitations and the potential of this procedure.
